Today I went out

Today I went out with my daughter and son I’m law, we went to three different stores, at first I was a bit apprehensive then it got better, They dropped me home later and then I had that tight band feeling in the head, which eventually went then a touch of the burning skin in my arms, maybe it’s because I did something I haven’t done for a long while?

You did it, that's the main n thing.

I got up this morning, felt great, started thinking it was so good feeling like this...then my mind wandered a bit and I got a bit shaky.

What I'm trying to say is, it's the too much thinking that does it.

Crazy kids huh?

Soon as I get a twinge, I start to freak out, it's so silly....

Exactly, been quite good today. Friend popped round tonight for a couple of hours. And all the time we were talking I stated to feel dizzy, sick, shaky, I spent the whole to hours thinking I'll have to run to the loo in a minute or take a diazepam... I didn't and now she's gone I've calmed down a little almost immediately... Its crazy I've known her years... But I'm like this in a lot of situations.

Continue to do what you are doing. The only way to beat this thing is through it. Going out and doing what you need to do in spite of the anxiety creates a positive chain reaction. The more you go out and get through it the more you are building the confidence to do it over and over again.

Keep up the great work!

What you did is called 'exposure therapy' and it is very good for your recovery. So what if you had some rebound anxiety afterward - that strikes me as normal. Keep putting pennies in that recovery bank. It's the best thing we can do for ourselves. Really - congratulations.
