It could be anxiety. With anxiety we tend to notice every single heart beat and pain. And since you are scared and nervous that's making your heart beat faster. Relax take deep slow breaths in and out. Have you been eating or drinking anything with Caffeine? That can give you rapid heart beat as well as too much sugar. Did all your tests come out clear?
I don't have caffeine due to hearing that I can get a fast heart rate off and its weird how it goes 'erratic' after exercise and then calms down a bit after I stopped panicking like I typed arrythmia into Google and none of them are even the same of what I'm getting
You probably feel what I feel. An odd sensation it feels like chest and throat flutters but when I check my pulse, it is normal. My doctor says what I feel is acid reflux but it is always hard for me to believe that .
Hi, there are many symptoms of anxiety and one of the nasties is the replicating a heart attack. Palpitations on their own are scary but when accompanied by chest pain....even worse. When you've had the tests is every single one clear? When they do the bloods...do they do 1 and repeat it 6 hours later or is it a one only?. You don't necessarily have to have joint symptoms and with anxiety(and sometimes we don't feel anxious but trust me... subconsciously it's there) it can either be palps on their own...chest pain on it's own..or both together with tingling. If at any time your heart rate goes thro the roof and you start being sick...get yourself to the hosp BUT if you have a hunch it's an anxiety attack...take a massive deep breath in (You need to get air into your lungs) and breathe in thro your nose(mouth closed) 1...2...3....4 and out thro your mouth 5....6....7....8. Repeat this and sit down but posture straight. Rub the top of your chest in a circular motion and at the same time say "I'm going to be ok...it will pass...im going to be ok..it will pass". At this point you are conscious of your heartbeat...the palpitations. Funny things are palps(not funny haha) and everyone at some time in their life will experience them. I have some things you can do to try and help with the palps...when I stopped drinking tea and coffee and red bull my palps reduced..when my anxiety got better..they went altogether and trust me I thought I was dying from a heart attack on a daily basis. I don't however take chest pain and palps lightly and if you are worried...id personally rather you went to the hosp..for piece of mind if nothing else. Palps can be lived with and controlled by beta blockers..esp if they are troublesome. I would hold my breath and push down on my bottom...like you are having a 💩(don't follow thro obv lol) and hold for 10 seconds. The second thing I used to do was cough....and I mean COUGH!!!! Not too hard that you pop a vein but just enough to work. Both these can help...the first particularly. Why not try writing down when the palps come and also the chest pain...date, time and what you were doing prior. You may, like me, find a trigger or pattern. I'm sorry if I'm not much help I can only offer what worked for me. Take care. Janie
All my teststuff came through and my hearts normally at a normal range even when I'm anxious sometimes or I get chest and arm pain my heart is still a normal patern my chest and arm pains have been there since like 2 years ago which makes me think okay maybe it's not heart related if I've had testseveral nd still getting the pains
I had almost the exact thing and mine wasn't heart related...it was anxiety, 100%. I wouldn't admit it and denial makes the situ worse. I can honestly say tho if you've had every test imaginable to man and bloods have been tested for other things like thyroid(it can cause palps) then they need to start looking into what they are going to do for you...you can't he left like this..its unfair.
Then it needs to be done, it can be one of the reasons that palps are there. Because you are concerned, every avenue has to be investigated...no stone unturned almost..for your piece of mind.
You might think you are all calm, but it doesnt have to be the case. You can suffer from anxiety without thinking of it but in the back of your head you fear this thing happening to you very very bad. Did you tell your doctor about this? What did he say? If the blood work shows nothing and your doctor has an explanation you should believe in it, as hard as it might be. Not everything that hurts or feel strange is dangerous. And If you fear something enough, for example being scared of getting a heart attack, you can make yourself feel like your experiencing one. I can make my body feel like its going numb only with my thought. I believe you can too Calm!
Yep, For me it starts with me sitting in the couch watching TV and then all of a sudden my heart starts to hurt or I get a headache (for example) Right now i think i have a brain tumour! I never worry and then get symtoms. I dont worry and then I get a symtom! DO NOT WORRY! It takes ALOT to die! (if thats what you fear)
I was told by my dr that low potassium and magnesium can cause heart palpitations too. So that might be a reason you are having them. But my dr also always told me don’t assume everything is anxiety. So if it’s something different and doesn’t feel like your typical anxiety might be with checking out
That's just concerned me now and I always eat healthy I limit my sugar and saturated and always eating fruit and get my pottasium and magneium off them
Oh i didn’t say that to concern you. I always eat my fruits and veggies but last year they did blood work and my potassium was low so my dr just put me on a potassium supplement and my palpitations stopped.
Phew haha and I've got an appointment in 2 weeks I could have one ASAP but my mum doesn't beleives I have anxiety and she won't call up so have to wait... but I'll get them checked plus my thyroid
