Hi ahmed

I'm afraid this is most likely just another wonderful symptom of anxiety!!! I often get this if I nap or doze off on the sofa - I will wake up all shaky with palpitations and a dizzy head. Try and distract yourself, palpitations feel scary but they're not really a big deal, pretty much everybody gets them at some time or other, if you can find something to do to relax or take your mind off of it they will most likely be gone before you know it.

Hope you feel better x

Hi

Further to what been said above, I would recommend going to your doctors and getting checked for any heart problems, purely for your own peace of mind, and ask for some therapy like CBT to manage all these symptoms.

It wont stop the palpitations, however it will allow you to be not so scared when they do come, and then in my experience they come less often, and even if we do get the ocassional one, they are not a worry anymore. We float through them as if it was nothing, and thats exactly what they become.

Wishing you well

B

Hi thanks for you messages but I have already been to hospital and doctors for chest pains and they said my heart is fine I just don't want to go doctors anymore. However I do not get any symptoms along side these palps this just happens today and I'm already going through the emotional stage.

The emotional stage of dealing with it.

Hi Ahmed.

This is more than likely adrenaline. As the blogs above say: this is a very common symptom of anxiety. I get this frequently, especially when I am trying to relax.

I would suggest talking to you GP if you can not manage the symptoms.

Hope this helps :-)

Hi Ahmed

I was getting heart palpitations, slight shortness of breath and tight chest a few months ago, I got really worried, went to doctors and had tests done and it all came back fine, it was just my anxiety but it was really scary and would almost send me into a panick attack every time it would happen, the palpitations still happen occasionally but I don't feel as anxious now as I know it is just my anxiety.xx
