So I'm about to go the store and I almost always get anxious/nervous before going anywhere. I know I'll be fine but you know it's hard to keep the background talk from taking center stage. I just get anxious going places and having to stay there a while.
What are you tips and tricks?
Thanks in advanced

Might not be much help but the quicker i do something like that the less chance i have of it consuming the idea of going... almost like going on auto pilot.. dont find excuses to delay.
That's what I do majority of the time but I usually alone and hat how I like it. But I'm accompanying my mom so she does things a little more her pace and just thinking of it makes my heart race and start to think too much
nmp1, I understand how it is before going somewhere. What really can help is using deep breathing while getting yourself ready to go out. Once I'm in the car, I continue to use deep breathing as well as while in the store. Using positive talk to yourself also helps in calming your fears or anticipation. Look forward to getting out and enjoy the trip. Know how great you will feel when you get home in having accomplished something out of your comfort zone. Let us know when you get back x
nmp1, I didn't see your other response before I wrote that you weren't going alone. That makes a big difference. I remember when I would have to take my mom anywhere, it always ended up having several stops before coming back home. She meant well by treating me to lunch but I had all I could do one thing knowing I was responsible for someone else and couldn't escape home if I needed to.
Knowing that you said it went good is a big step. You did good. Give yourself credit and a pat on the back. xx
I felt that before and i also posted about that before. I feel like something will going to happen and I'm really anxious and i know that its an anxiety. So even if I'm anxious about going somewhere i just don't mind it.. and it really goes away..😊
