So. Have been invited away for the weekend and obviously anxious. Should I go? Is it right to test your limits so to empower and reduce anxiety in new situations?

Anxiety and going out
Yeah I thinkits good to "desenastive or use condition therapy" for such and depends on your level of serverity, if you feel like you can do it go for it....if not then baby steps.
Hi Jeffrey, how are you tonight?
im so so..made my daily post
Hi Nita, it's really hard but yes try and go if you can x
It gets worse before it gets better right? X
Are you going with people who know about your anxiety? Are they people you can confide in and can be supportive? Went to New York City a few weeks ago with my sis and her family. Really anxiety provoking for me, but my sis is really supportive. When I would get palpitations or a panic attack, she would stay by me, reminding me that I wasn't having a heart attack, but a panic / anxiety attack. She was nonjudgemental which made a big difference in my ability to enjoy the trip despite the periods of anxiety.
Nita if you can ,please do try and go and I really understand its going to involve a bit of planning etc. But you can do it! Even if you don't stay til the last knockings, I'm sure you'll be so surprised how you were able to cope much more than u ever expected. Keep in touch and good luck.
Thanks everyone xx
Was wondering if you went on your trip and how did it go?
Hi there. Thanks for asking. It was fine. I was nervous going but found that it actually helped that people didn't know. And I enjoyed it too and it boosted my confidence no end. Xx
I'm glad!
