Getting off drugs

My doctor said I have depression and bad anxiety. I went again and he was asking me what he should do. He took klonopin down 1/4mg, upped buspar, and changed antidepressant to pristiq from cymbalta. So I will be on two antidepressants for three weeks sand then stop the cymbalta. I feel I need to be in an inpatient facility to do this but he says there are none. What do I do?

Hi! I took 120mg Cymbalta for over a year and I found it did not agree with me. I already have chronic insomnia and the meds just made it worse. I developed terrible sweats, which would develop suddenly or for at least a hour after a bath. Hideous! If you come off it, wean slowly I had dreadful side effects and felt awful, but it could also have been the high dosage. To find the right anti depressants or combination??? That is a million dollar question, especially like me, my anxiety is over the top. Don't think the doctors always know, and the NHS does not check your moods and alter levels of meds as should be done. They only react when you see them when you are desparate. I think our tolerance changes, and some people have short term and others long term depression. Try to listen to your own body and mind and how it's reacting. Hope this helps! Kind regards. x
