Pristiq

Has anyone cross-tapered from effexor to pristiq? Was it successful? What was the timeline? Dosages? 2. Did anyone have any adjustment period the first week or two? I didn't have issues at first, but now have very heightened anxiety.

I just started about 2 months ago on Pristiq. While it’s helped greatly with stabilizing my mood, it’s taken away all emotion…I feel numb and just don’t care about anything. It’s to the point of being scary. I’ve talked to my doctor and he didn’t seem concerned.

I'm on Vraylar and pristiq.

I just weaned off of Pristiq, which seemed to make my depression worse, and thought i might give it a try. It’s supposed to help the body produce neurotransmitters. I’m still on risperidone for anxiety and lamotrigine for bipolar so I’m not totally med free. I guess it can’t hurt to try.

I’m at rock bottom and since starting pristiq about 3 months or so ago I’ve fallen deeper in the hole. I’m planning on stopping that too. Just worried about withdrawal symptoms. I cry everyday and my mood swings are unbearable. I can’t socialize and want no interaction with anyone. Not even family.

I was on 100mg pristiq and realized it was making me numb. My psych said it was fine to just stop taking it…now two months later I am very down, lost, scared, constantly worried. I don’t know if this is withdrawal from abruptly stopping or relapse.

Totally changed zoloft to Pristiq, no change in anxiety still high. I see a therapist, but that seems to just make me dwell on anxiety all day every day. Therapist wants me off all meds, GP wants me to switch to trintellix. I am so confused.

Tried everything, prozac, pristiq, CBS, 5 htp,nothing works...horribly sad and discouraged. How do I go on any longer?

Long story but I just started taking Pristiq. I have a long history of depression and anxiety and I have never been good about taking my meds. I was wondering if anyone had a good experience with Pristiq?

She is taking 100 mg Pristiq and 30 mg of Vyvanse. of course, we are unable to find generic Vyvanse anywhere. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. We have 4 more pills left then we are out. She has inattentive ADHD, depression, and newly diagnosed ASD. Thank you!

I've been taking 100mg Pristiq for about 7 months and I was responding really well. I hadn't felt that good in a very long time. I know that I've made some drastic changes in my life, I moved 3 months ago to a new state for a better job. But I was still feeling so good.

I was on Pristiq for 3 months,did not the way it made me feel,muscle tremors,twitching headaches,tightness in chest,been off it for 5 days still getting tremors and weakness in my hands.Did anyone experience similar symptoms,I would appreciate any input,Thanks.

I took my last dose of pristiq on Tuesday. I have been a guinea pig for snri's since September. My psychiatrist wants me to washout until Tuesday and then start me on an ssri. I suggested Prozac because it worked wonderfully in the past.

Has anyone had a lot of nausea when beginning Pristiq? I am in my third week. Wondering how long this might last.

After I had my first child at age 23 I started on pristiq and found I was barely surviving, my MD switched me to Prozac which I am on now, and have found good effects but still suffering with symptoms at times.

I have tried pristiq,vibryd,Wellbutrin and lexapro , all to no avail. I tried ketamine assisted therapy (KAP) for first time this past Sunday. Talk about getting high! I took (2)sublingual 175 mg tablets over 20 minutes. I think dose may have been too high.

I tried Pristiq, Vibryd,wellbutrin and lexapro, each for 6 weeks. I noticed NO change, positive or negative. My next step is to try talk therapy. and I am coming up with a lot of deadends. I am looking for: 1.

He prescribed Pristiq with a low dose of Klonopin to assist with anxiety while the anti-depressant kicked in. Despite being bashed online, Pristiq gave me no side effects and was effective. I gave the psychiatrist a million reasons why it wouldn't work for me, but it did.
