Don't worry, I know it's easier said than done. But I've experienced some of the symptoms you're having and i read a lot of stuff online and I even called the NHS 111 service about it. You have to tell yourself 'it's just my anxiety, this too shall pass'. Don't focus on the fear, focus on something else: do a crossword, draw a picture, look at old photos.
If you are worried, call 111 or 999, the NHS are there to help. Trust me, I've called them a few times.
Yeah, the heart fluttering and palpitations, even got some chest pain at one point. I freaked out and i called 111, and 999 not so long ago. They took me to hospital and did an ECG. It was fine.
I get that, I felt like it was taking over and I just wanted everything to be normal again. If you haven't already, get an ECG done, it's soothed a lot of my anxiety.
Hi...it was the same for me. I would feel like my chest was closing up and I couldn't breathe. I was so sure my heart was going to stop!! I think going to the ER is a good idea, because it will give you peace of mind. Have you tried breathing into a brown paper bag? That's what the hospital did for me!! It SERIOUSLY works as it redirects the carbon dioxide when we are hyperventilating. And hyperventilating can come in many forms, so this COULD be what's going on with you. Panic attacks seem so real! But I still think you should get checked out only because it will help you find calm...
yeah i did along time ago klike 4 months ago and 5 days ago i went to the ER For chest pain and rash i had been getting they did ekg but never told me if it was fine i gues sit was because docter never said anything about it and told me to see my cardiologist if its getting bad to to call him
I believe they would have told you there and then if there'd been a problem on your ECG. Don't worry about having to go back if you need/want to. Healthcare professionals are there for a reason, to help you.
yeahthe problem is the way my heart is beating its like certain type of arrythmia or something going on but ive excercised it would go really fast of course and after it was good but with out excising and its doing this makes me think something has to be wrong
If you're that concerned, the best advice anyone can give is go directly to the ER. No one else can give you any better medical advice and reassurance.
Don't worry I've experienced the same symptoms before and now I don't really get it that much, it's anxiety so try to distract yourself and do something that you enjoy or just lie down to help you relax your heart. Goodluck
I'm so sorry you are struggling!! Please know, you aren't alone, ok? We are here for you, so keep leaning on us, ok? I'm so glad you reached out. How are you feeling now? Is it any better or is it the same? You may want to go to the ER and get checked out. I've had VERY similar symptoms and it was a panic attack. Both times! I had panic attacks for several years and they seem so very real, so to go to the ER will do 2 things: it will help you know if it IS a panic attack, and will help calm you, and it will answer the question as to whether you may need some medical assistance. If you are feeling too scared to go, call a trusted friend, and ask for help. And let us know how you are!! Keep checking in here to this forum, ok? ❤️
No, don't go to the ER Johnny, you've been there so many times before, they examine and test you and tell you it's anxiety, which you knew anyway. As you say, all the tests come back fine.
Once again you have come up with a long and graphic list of your latest symptoms of anxiety disorder but no news whatsoever of what you're doing to cure yourself of the problem. Merely providing long lists of anxiety symptoms is not going to exorcise them from your body. So you will just go on listing more and more frightening symptoms for eternity.
You need to take positive steps to free your over sensitised nerves from this anxiety disorder. First, go see your doctor again and ask for some effective anti anxiety medications. Forget about fears of side effects or addiction, we're talking about medically approved drugs not heroin. You'll need to wait three weeks or more to get the benefit so don't stop taking them after a week because you think they're making you worse. They're not.
Then order one of the self help with your nerves books you see frequently mentioned on this forum. It will explain why you're feeling like you are and how to help yourself recover like many hundreds of people who have visited this forum over the years have done. Read it, re-read it and then read it again. And start to put into practice the recovery plan contained within its pages.
So there you have it, Johnny, the choice is simple. Self help leading to recovery. Or continuing indefinitely to just listing your latest examples of anxiety symptoms without hope of recovery. I do hope you don't take the second option and your next posting is another list of symptoms. This is tough love, Johnnie. Someone has to say it.
You should get evaluated and the doctor will most likely say it's anxiety because it is. Don't fret because I know anxiety is a viscous thing as I still have it. I used to worry all the time about my heart beat and freak out about palpitations and get panic attacks. However, once I began to sit with them and realize "HEY if my heart was going to give out from all the stress I'm under it would've done it by now". I recovered and I know you can too becaus I am proof that things get better. Message any time.
