Does anyone else get anxious in the heat? Like you feel your heart beating and get kind of shaky?

I'm feeling. That right know but also because my neighbor is gifting my pup. I'm inside right now and my parents are watching her and bathing her but I'm nervous. I think the heat and the emotions have made me anxious. I'm trying to calm down but when I go outside I have racing thoughts which makes me more anxious

And it's not the fun kind of anxious

Don't understand what you mean by "gifting your puppy."

I do ! I seem to be a lot more irritable when it's hot and it flares up my anxiety more too

Oh, you'll be ok.....anticipation anxiety in the heat....great that you will be caring for a wonderful creature! I have recently lost my service dog after almost 14 years. So, while I am sad right now I am happy for you.

I'm sorry for your loss I can't imagine losing a beautiful and loving companion. I'm happy to start this new journey as she's my first indoor pet lol. I'm hoping having her around will help with anxiety, she's been through a rough home and decpite it all she's still loving

I wish you the best

Yes, and not only anxious. I have always been sensitive to the heat, and can't be in the heat for too long without feeling dizzy, light-headed, and just all around miserable. I am careful about how much heat I expose myself to. Thankfully, I work in an air-conditioned office and my car has air conditioning. My house remains fairly cool because we are close to a large lake and we get lake breezes. So, my solution is to stay out of the heat as much as possible.

Thank you, I stay in the ac all day. The heat has been horrible with temperatures feeling like 100+ and the Sun makes it feel like your literally burning. The conflict is I want to get some color but the heat is exhausting.

I don't worry about the color at all. I, too, find heat exhausting. Thankfully, it has not been too hot here so far this summer. The other issue, of course, is burning, and long-term issues about melanoma. Better to be a pale face as far as I'm concerned!

That's true, sun burns are not fun. At least I'll look young for a tad longer. I need to get sunscreen. And more power to us pales lol

Really, be careful with the sun. I lost two people I loved to melanoma. They spent a lot of time in the sun because they wanted to be tanned. Stay pale.

I have noticed this past year my anxiety has gotten alot worse then normal in the heat.. i also work outside so i cant seem to catch a break with it what so ever.. i find it really hard to breath and then my mind starts racing.. the best thing is try and stay on top of staying hydrated.. drinking lots of water seems to calm me down.
