Is anybody on here sensitive to heat? Last summer I spent most of it having heart palpitations and as soon as summer was over they completely went away🤔 and I get more anxious when it’s warm like if I have had a shower and been in to long or it’s been quite warm that day. I’m wondering if heat can make you more prone to anxiety and panic attacks?

Anxiety and heat?
I know that I am also heat sensitive and being in a hot environment makes me feel panicky. I’ve gotten better with it over the years but it still isn’t a favorite of mine. So no real advice, just wanted to tell you that you’re not alone.
I had read that taking a warm bath could help relax but it actually caused heart to race but as time has went on it's gotten a little better
Yes Laurenjf it's happened to me but only in the past 2 or 3 summers. I didn't used to be that way but my anxiety got worse a few years ago, and the heat of summer makes me more prone to panic attacks, dizziness lightheadedness. that's part of why im planning to move to a cooler state. Take care
I thought it was menopause. I can not move when it is hot. I just need to lay down.
Stay very hydrated and take magnesium daily.
I wish this helped. I can be totally hydrated and magnesium in the morning and I will have the "runs" in the heat. I feels like a switch flips inside and bingo I'm shaking like a leaf and woozy and dizzy. It's creepy!
The heat thing is a mystery to me. I was fine, and then, one year I wasn't.
I don't know which came first the anxiety/panic during a hot day or what but, Im not a happy camper when hot. Does anyone have a clue as to why this is?
I close friend of mine who does not have anxiety AT ALL EVER ( jelly) gets most distressed during hot days, says the heat makes her sickly, nauseous, dizzy, much like those of us who call it anxiety.
I do know that when the weather is cooler I try to get as much done as I can because when the heat hits, I'm in a room with the shades drawn and air on
