Panic attacks

Recently for the past week I've been having nightmares and when I wake up my hearts starts racing, right leg shaking, my chest will feel heavy, I will start worrying that the dream will happen and I feel like I have no control over anything and my own self. The more I think about trying to stop the panic attack, the more worried I get and I'll start worrying even more. It's a constant loophole. I'm not sure how to control these panic attacks and it seems as if I simply cannot have a peace of mind.

  • Hi have you seen your gp? Are you getting any help from anyone?

  • No

  • If you go see your doctor I'm sure they can help you. It often helps talking through things with a councilor. I don't think it will go away on its own. I've looked for many ways to help myself. Usually we have triggers, finding what they are and trying to work through them helps greatly. Give the doctor a call and see what they say.
