No, don't be!! Remember it's only your thoughts getting the better of you. Nothing is wrong. And nothing can hurt you. Think positive thoughts

It's ok don't freak out just try to occupy yourself with something. You're not alone and everything will be ok :) just keep taking some deep breaths you can get through this. Sending you best wishes

I lost my job a frayed of losing my house I have really nothing to be here for. And it scares me so much. I'm afraid of losing control I know that's a typical anxiety thing

I remember reading your post about this and it certainly is the cause of your severe anxiety..

Whether being the driver or being driven someone, it's the lose of control you

feel that makes you anxious. We need to feel control for an escape.

I'm starting to get afraid to drive far from my house and drive alone and be alone I started taking Zoloft three days ago I'm in the step up phase

Agora1 profile image
Agora1 in reply tolal0604

I've been in that same position. Zoloft will eventually help you but it takes 4-6 weeks to reach full efficacy .

Agora1 in reply tolal0604

This all has to do with the feeling we have lost control and lost confidence

Agora1 profile image
Agora1 in reply tolal0604

I used many tricks to get myself out of the house and driving alone again. It needs

some practice but will happen

Cars are everything to me. I have a beautiful car that I maintain and so for me

not to be able to drive it because of anxiety was a double whammy

Agora1 in reply tolal0604

I was almost to the point of wanting to buy a blow up male doll to sit in the

passenger seat :)

What is it about anxiety that makes us feel so insecure?? I went from that idea to having a German Shepherd sit next to me to finally calling my therapist on cell and keeping the line open until I got to the store.

Agora1 in reply tolal0604

It was't until I realized that none of the above was going to help me through an anxiety feeling. It came from my mind and I was the only one who was going to control and delete that feeling.

Once you settle down today and you get home just relax but starting tomorrow lets talk again about ways to get around this feeling

Let me know when you are no longer alone in the car...Keep breathing

Are you breathing more slowly?? Deep breaths in and slowly exhaling

will get rid of that hazy feeling that and hydrating.
