My anxiety issues are getting better by using "Acceptance and Commitment Therapy- ACT" Ever since I grasp the understanding of ACT and began to practice the concepts, I feel better. The basic idea is that obsession with anxiety leads to more anxiety so if you accept it and replace it with commitments to healthy ACTions and behavior, it goes away. Totally makes sense and so true! It's just not easy to do especially if you have health anxiety. I keep affirming in my mind I am going to be ok and letting things happen but that fear is so hard to let go especially when you feel like you are going to pass out, I have an ok time letting my other symptoms happen but when I start sweating, heart beating, weird stomach feeling and shaky legs I automatically want to stop those feelings and just like the video pointed out that leads to further anxiety.
Yes I can only imagine that struggle. Sometimes the mind has a mind of its own.
I have a laundry list of things that I work in combination with ACT. Excercise and healthy diet is important and Ive significantly reduced my intake of caffeine and sugar. That's fuel for anxiety
