Do you know any good anxiety self-help books?

My anxiety has been in overdrive the last few weeks and it's causing me physical symptoms. I've been advised by my doctor to read self-help books regarding anxiety. I would like to read one that teaches you how to deal with the symptoms and was wondering if any of you know any good books I could try?

Thanks x

I'd recommend starting with Hope and Help for Your Nerves by Dr. Claire Weekes. It's a classic, for sure, but despite being written long ago it gives what many here agree is the best general advice that's stood the test of time. It's helped me quite a lot!

Poor guy. I do like him a lot. It's a shame he's not really on TV anymore

Search on YouTube for a guy named Wonderbro (he has his own channel). He has hundreds of videos examining the work of Claire Weekes from every possible perspective.

Check out "At Last a Life and Beyond" by Paul David. It's his journey of recovery from anxiety and utilizes the principles of Claire Weekes. I found it to be the best book yet on it, it really helped me.
