We all need a little push...

I have been seeing a lot of post's that talk about "being over it" or "I'm done with this". Well, I have to say that you have the wrong perspective. This might seem a little too forward, but lets face it, WE ALL know what it is like and WE ALL know that it is difficult. But, what you have to understand is there is no giving up on this. There is no "I'm tired" and "Im done." You know why? There are people that believe in you and know how strong you really are.

Before all this happened you were happy, vibrant, and carefree I am sure. So what makes you think you can not have that again?

Just remember that this will pass and it takes patience and understanding to know how to get over these things.

Don't get me wrong, I still have anxiety and panic attacks, BUT now I know how to cope with it and move passed it when it happens. It isn't fun but I know it isn't permanent either.

God built you in a perfect way, so don't think for a second that you don't have control over this. You are stronger then you think. You are healthier than you think.

At the end of the day look at the little battles you've won and focus on THIS day and THIS day only. You'll see you're perspective change and ultimately these feelings will go away. Know one said it would be easy, just that it would be worth it. =)

Love and hope conquers all.

Cheers everyone.

Im maybe a bit further down the line. I rarely experience high anxiety and can fend off a panic attack at the first inkling. Relaxation techniques play a huge part in teaching your body and brain to react differently to stress. For me at the first sign of stress I sigh and then continue with 7-11 breathing without a second thought. Practice means progress. :-)

For me it's about finding the motivation to get that little bit better with every day. My motivation? Simply my wife & kids; what King of crap am I going to be leaving them to cope with if I take that ultimate act? Is that act the height of courage or selfishness? Days have been a struggle lately. Even coming on here to read thoughts of all you guys has been hard. But with a lot of struggle & equal amounts of support/empathy .....

Be compassionate towards yourself....you are doing what you can. Maybe try to find the wee joys you experience every day. Mine started with things like...i could eat a bit, i got up,i showered and took time to enjoy it. Often when we feel crap we dont think ourselves worthy of the good. Dont belittle what you can do....by recognising your achievements, no matter how small, you are on the road to changing your mindset to a positive one. Soon you willbe able to see joys all over the place. X
