I have been suffering from anxiety my whole life, when I was little I found that it was focused toward not wanting to do things but know I seem to be more worried, I know this may sound weird but I'm horrified of getting sick/ throwing up and it causes me to get panic attacks. What should I do?

Where do you think the fear of being sick comes from? I find eating small amounts of food at a time helps with that kind of fear myself. I always make sure I have a drink with a meal too so not choking or anything. I try not to eat when I'm very anxious. I don't know if that helps.
I don't know where it came from, as a kid I only threw up once. Since then I've only thrown up 2 times. I will definitely try eating small amounts of food. Sometimes my fear of getting sick gets in the way of eating food. I am always nervous something will make me sick like roller coasters, food, other people, public restrooms, planes, busses, ex. I find that it causes me to have panic attacks. I found on the internet that there is something called Emetophobia.
Thanks for explaining. See I been sick alot & have stomach and bowel conditions. I choke sometimes too. But it sounds like you could have that phobia perhaps. Could you tell your doctor? Yes try eating small amounts and sss if it helps a bit.
Kayla, this phobia was a taught phobia. Somebody freaked out when you puked as a kid, or you got scared at the "upchucking" and nobody reassured you,
That:
it's no big deal.
That is my experience. In my family my mother flipped out when one of the kids puked, {frightened, scared, panicked}< and she screamed for my dad to come.
"Johnny, come quick, Carol is throwing up"..... OMG. My poor mother. And my sister and I BOTH to this day shake like a leaf when the possibility we might puke comes on.
COUNTER POINT.
My husband couldn't care less, his mom never rattled when the kids were sick. Nobody in his family (4), kids could care less...🤔
