Now Elavil .....this girl needs a good nights sleep....

I am on amitriptyline aka Elavil. It's suppose to be for anxiety but I'm in such a low dose that it's only helping to sleep. Are you taking it for anxiety or sleep? SnY dosage?

50mg of amitriptyline will help you sleep but that's also a maintenance dose for anxiety. It's been around since the 1960s so no nasty surprises. It went out of fashion when Prozac came along but is now making a comeback because of it's lack of side effects.

Well so much for elavil. I have asthma and it is an asthma trigger. I guess I'm gonna have to do this with no meds.
