Sweating... Heart pounding... When will it end.... I know this sounds dreadful and it kills me to say but sometimes just sometimes I'd rather be in physical pain....

Hello. If you can, you need to try and get your heart rate down as that adds to the anxiety. Long deep breaths in , hold for 4 seconds, then breathe out again. If you can do that foe a few minutes it will slow your heart rate. You want to avoid hyperventilation if you can, so long deep breaths and not the short shallow ones that often come as the attack spins out of control.
Actually I completely understand why you say that about physical pain - at least then you will get prompt treatment to stop it. But as I keep saying - if our treatment regime is not working then we be going back to the primary care giver and demanding alternatives. Yes demanding I say - after all we all pay in some way for the NHS. It is a public service, there to serve people who need medical help. Too often we are scared to challenge people in positions of authority. But you only have one life and your good health is vital. Dont be fobbed off with substandard care.

So sorry your having a bad moment like Karl said slow breathing hang in there always know we are here for support
I feel you there with the physical pain. Much easier (in theory) to treat not half as much hard work or battle.
Breathe nice and slowly. You CAN get through this and you WILL get through this. Focus really hard on how this is making you feel then let it pass over. Sounds easier than it us but it is possible. If you lose focus on how you feel breathe, focus on the breathe just inside your nose then draw your attention back to the feeling.
Hope you are ok now x
