Can i take a beta blocker of and on like when i feel my heart rally fast could take it sometimes because thats what i been doing will it do me any harm if i do that ? and i have this mostly all the time sometimes i feel like im holding in my breath out knowing or have shortness of breath i start breathing fast or heard because it make me think im just going to pass out sometimes but mostly its my breathing and heart and spasm aswell

What does it says in the prescription bottle? Should say used as needed and the amount of times a day. That's what mine says

it says take one tablet twice a day but i got these two months ago when i went to the ER then i saw cardiologist told me not to take it that im to young for that so basically idk i have them here i only took it a couple of times like when it was really bad my heart rate only when i needed it but idk some people say i cant take it when ever i want those are everyday pills but idk now they gave to me in the ER because my heart rate was really high about 170 or 180 . but the cardologist put a heart monitor for 7 days a day before i took it back i was in a car and my heart started racing he told me drink one so it could go down he told me i have a little bit of arrythmia but not a dangerous one he saw i guess through the monitor when something triggered me and called me right away because my heart rate was high but he didnt tell me anything to continue taking it he just say im to young for the pills and its seems like stress related but idk its confusing to me now .

It's probably anxiety and you being worried so much about your heart. Stay away from coffee and soda and sweets.

yeah like now i feel like a pressure only from getting up in the middle of my chest and back going up like it was gard to breath was fighting it then it goes away idk this is driving me nuts

Hi ~I take Propranolol just as needed ~this was advised by my GP ~I only ever take them if ever my panic/anxiety overtakes me ~ I would have a word with your doctor ~wishing you well

Hi. I am on beta blockers and it is ok to take as when I require it. However doing that way will at time have effect on blood pressure nothing scary just headache and light headed. I take mine every day for now but I cut mine in off from 40 to 20 and then hoping to go on 10mg.
