Anxiety and acid reflux

I have suffered with lump in the throat initially diagnosed as anxity symptoms. However gp told me to try reflux omeprazole which stopped the symptom. Now I have been on them for month and trying to detox off this week and the air trapped caused the lump appeared which makes more anxious. Anyone else had this symtom.

Hi. I currently have that problem. I'm on Nexmezol, the top of the range when it comes to these PPI's. I use that everyday and prior to this (I stopped for a few months because it disappeared but came back) I used it for 4 years. I went to GP for anxiety and he told me to continue. I'm also on Librax.

I.am worried about the long term usage of PPI. Only good thing was that the lump wasn't just in my head.

Tony95, about once a week someone mentions the lump in the throat symptom on this forum, I had this 20 years ago, I was given a barium meal and ultrasound scan, nothing found of course. The feeling of a lump in the throat is a very common anxiety symptom, it's even got a special name 'Globus Hystericus', I guess the clue is in the second part, we're all hysterical😊 In my case the reassurance of the barium meal scan was enough, I completely forgot about it and it went.

My suggestion to anybody with lump in the throat is to accept it without scaring yourself half to death about it and it will eventually yield. Either way it is absolutely nothing to worry about, I'm not sure how omeprazole can help.

Magnesium oil is excellent for acid reflux i suffered it terrible, started using the oil now i never get it.

Can I use Librax, Slowmag (Magnesium) and Omega 3 tablets all together? I also take Movicor in the evening (last thing) to help me with regular bowl movement. 🙊

acid reflux can also be a symptom of low stomach acidity as well as high stomach acidity.

low stomach acidity can lead to a B12 deficiency - one of the symptoms of which is anxiety

Hi i recently had acid reflux and was sick it may have been my new tablets Sertraline. It was horrible.
