I used to be in and out of the hospital probably three times a week due to panic attacks anxiety attacks they thought I was doing drugs taking my heart rate went to 158 but a friend of mine told me to drink ginger tea and I started drinking ginger tea and it really calms you down it relaxes you and the pain that you have in your chest it's like taking an Advil or Aleve takes 30 to 45 minutes to work with them but to me it was really fast Ginger is for pain and ginger relaxes you you should really try it I recommend it I love the ginger root help me so much my anxieties different now it doesn't go past my anxiety go slow now and I just feel anxious but try it put some lemon and honey in it and drink it warm and hot trust me I'm pretty sure it would help you

Have you tried going to a Cardiologist to check out your heart I have a hole in my heart and my and that's why I get palpitations and anxiety and all that bad stuff but Ginger yes I must try I bet you if within a week you take it 2 times a day even when you feel anxious you don't really have to take it that much time butt it really does wonders I ran out of Ginger I need to get me some more I'm not feeling too great today and I just don't know why I like my heart's beating weird I bent over to get some stuff to do baking brownies in felt like someone was squeezing my heart and I felt like it was going to fall I know it can't be the beer I'm on my second one hopefully not normally beer makes my heart go super fast but this time it doesn't I don't really don't know what's going on I have a Holter monitor on now and they say everything looks fine so I don't know what to do it's probably anxiety or something but yeah try the ginger and let me know how it goes for you and I pray that it works for you so that you can be more not anxious and relaxed and more happy

Iv been referred to a cardiologist I'm due to get an echoe , scan and monitor too! It's quite worrying as i play a lot of sports/heart problems run in my family. I'm stuck between is it my anxiety causing problems, -adding to it or something else? That happens me as well when I bend over or kneel down to get something and it feels like my heart is being squeezed / can't get a breath :( . Thank you I hope it works too every little helps .

Yes I went to cardiologist and I have a heart murmur a small one but it's still until this day if I do anything fast when lifting my heart will just be so different like right now I'm cooking dinner and if she skips a beat and it's just weird I'm afraid it's going to stop but I still have to feed the kids and get things done you know my dad had passed away from a heart attack and that's what I'm afraid of of myself going through to hopefully not but I hope all goes well for you hopefully it's nothing serious hopefully it's just anxiety I would be worried too since it runs in your family but you're doing a great job you know going day by day step by step and it's hard believe me I know but I have to go through the same thing too and it sucks sleepless nights I can't even get mad if I wanted to but my anxiety will get so up there but I'm managing it on my own good night time to drink beer to make things better but for some reason today it's not really happening maybe because I haven't really relaxed yet and really getting done with dinner but I hope all goes well for you like I said and may the Lord watch over you and take care of you

jessicaannrichardson, if you haven't experienced this before or if it's worse than usual, I would go to the ER. Never be embarrassed.. If this isn't anything new, maybe give your doctor a call and see what he says. Let us know how you are.

I can't say whether you should go or not but yes, I have been to the ER for panic attacks, but I didn't know it was panic attacks at the time. I really thought it was a thing at the time. it would def not be the first time they've seen it. I regretted it every time but at that moment I thought it was valid. Only you can know what's best for you. I hope you have regular doctor and can get some anxiety meds, that makes it a bit easier to tell the difference at times.

I went to the ER. I (and the ambulance folks) thought I was having a cardiac episode. Turns out it was a panic attack. Everyone at the hospital was just lovely to me, so don't feel afraid to go if you're not sure xxx
