Blood results
Hi katyjoa, I'm glad your blood tests results and ECG were fine. I've never had the B12
shot myself but know of people who did, including my own mother. It will make a difference in how you feel. Good Luck and feel well soon.
Hi I started them last week, had my 3rd one today. They told me to start off I would have 6 over 3/4 weeks then a blood test and hopefully move to every 3months depending on what my levels are like after these ones.
My doctor told me I should be feeling a lot better when these kick in. fingers crossed X x
Thank you, not be long now Hun. I thought I would be feeling a lot better by now, I don't no how long it's supposed to take until you do, but I suppose I have to deal with the anxiety too X x
I'm 26, I have been on them in the past but stopped taking them about 2 and a half years ago. Are you able to still get out etc? What's your symptoms, are you getting any support/therapy? X x
I've not had it long about 3 months one week I can be absolutely fine feel great then next week feel as if I'm going to die head pressure body shaken palpitations chest pain carnt breath and the list goes on its like I get a new symptom every time my anxiety comes I still get about and that but I feel more comfortable in my own home. I have good days and bad days.
Hi Katyjoa,
I've not had them myself but my mother in law has B12 injections and they make a massive difference for her. I hope they help you.
It might be worth reconsidering the antidepressants. There is nothing wrong with taking them, whether it is for a short time to get you out of this phase, or it ends up being years.
There is so much stigma around mental health and anti-depressants that makes people feel this way about them, but reconsider it. You're accepting the B12 injections because your B12 is low, but as your mood and anxiety is also a problem there is nothing wrong in also treating it with medication. It can make such a difference.
I've been on and off anti-depressants for years and it has taken me a long time to get past feeling the need to be medication free, however, when I injured my leg, I took painkillers, had surgery and physio to fix it within a matter of months after initially injuring it, why wouldn't I do the same for my mental health which has plagued me for years?
I sincerely hope that you feel better for the injections, and consider accepting help with the anxiety too.
Sunny x
