Hi love! I know how you’re feeling. I tested hpv pos in 2016 (negative as of 2017 💗) I immediately went vegan, and took 6000mg of vitamin C DAILY, also took AHCC 💕test was clear at annual exam (2017) and also 2 months ago (Regular trying to conceive checkup) it’s very scary hearing those results but thank god u know and can get rid of it, Believe! This is a time to love on your body and believe in it. Our bodies usually naturally get rid of hpv on its own but at times it may need a push. Heighten that immune system!!!!

Please go watch Hannah Banana on YouTube. Just type Hannah Banana Hpv in the search engine

You’re welcome. And no I did not have any changes, that was pos but pap was normal. But the YouTube video I sent you, she did have cell changes. She cured herself naturally. She is still negative to this day

You do not have cervical c word. It’s just changes and you will heal. My anxiety reacted the same exact way. You’re fine and going to be fine. It rarely turns into the c word.

Women who do not get paps are more at risk for that happening.

Thankyou your words really do help ease the shear anxiety I have over this. It just has made me worry how after having an internal examination got me referred to colposcopy so they could see something was wrong and then to have the cell change come back in my results was all to much for my brain to handle. It has made me feel hopeless

What did they say to you after that? They may recommend a leep procedure. I believe that’s to scrape off the changed cells and then those changes will be gone. But I would really watched that video if I were you. They were going to do a leep on her too and she got rid of it naturally so they didn’t have to. Have you watched her video yet?

I went for an examination of my cervix due to me having longer periods and the doctor had to get a second opinion and then referred me for a colposcopy saying it looks like ectropion cervix. She said she hadn't referred me urgently and that I wouldn't need a smear doing because I had already been referred to colposcopy but I decided to go for my smear as ilt was taking to get my colposcopy appointment through. So hadn't heard anything after 2 weeks of my smear being done and still no appointment for colposcopy. I rang my gp surgery and they said I had been put down as an urgent referral and should have been seen by now. So got my appointment through last week for my colposcopy and only today I recieved the results of my cervical screening test i had done saying that they found hpv and high grade cell change. Thats why j m worried I have cervical Cword as I have a growth of cells on my cervix visible and also positive with cell change on my smear test x

I see. Did they say your longer periods were related to your pap results? Or is that separate?

And when was your last Pap smear before this one?

I have just turned 25 and in England you have to be 25 before having a pap smear so it was my first one x

My bleeding was before my pap smear I was referred to colposcopy over the look of my cervix but it's just made me panic more now i have recieved my pap smear results and it's just confirmed the worst really 😩

L1994 in reply toKrn210

Thank you for the information. Was they able to see changes in your cervix just by doing a routine internal examination also as I have a lump on my cervix that they are calling an ectropion cervix? Just now I have had the hpv positive and cell change result I am less convinced its ectropion cervix as they said it was X

Krn210 profile image
Krn210 in reply toL1994

Not that I know of. I had gone in for a routine smear and that came back odd. They told me that things would probably clear up on their own and that they would do a recheck. The recheck came back abnormal so then I had the colposcopy. The colposcopy showed two biopsies with minor change and the third showed severe changes.

I tested positive for hpv several years ago, with a strain that is linked to a high risk of cervical cancer. I was worried constantly! Thankfully, I tested negative less than 1 year later :) Most of the time, it goes away on it's own. Just keep reminding yourself that :)

L1994 profile image
L1994 in reply toGinger7

I have been referred for colposcopy now because its at a stage that can't go away on its own thats the thing and that I will need treatment im just worried that it's going to be worse than what i want to know if you get what i mean x

Hey hun, ii did .. in 2015, ii had Hvp and high grade change. Ii had a colposcopy and they burnt all the cells of and took biopsy’s, ii went back 6 months later, and the Hvp had cleared on it own.. and no cancer cells just precancerous cells.

And haven’t had Hvp since. Don’t panic.

Easily said than done. But most of the time there able to burn or lazor it out before it turns into anything sinister xx

L1994 in reply toLittleone88

Thank you so much. It is a horrible thing to go through. Just want it all over and done with but also dreading my appointment because I had a panic attack just having my smear done x

Littleone88 profile image
Littleone88 in reply toL1994

Ii was exactly the same. Googling things panicking, thinking 100% ii had cancer etc. Panicked over every smear since also, just have deep breathes, the nurse ii had held my hand Cos ii was scared. And talked to me the whole way thru it to keep my mind occupied other than what was happening. It made me feel more at ease. Xx

L1994 in reply toLittleone88

I am just hoping it isn't anything to worry about and that I will be OK. I do keep googling things and scaring my self just trying to find answers for it all.

Littleone88 profile image
Littleone88 in reply toL1994

I’m sure it won’t be. They’ll remove the bad cells: get ur immune system up to fight of the HVP. Pls honestly try not to worry. It’ll be ok. My cervix was red and bleeding, ii have bleeding with sex. But it’s cervical erosion and ii have endometriosis. There is always other reasons for things never the worst case xx

L1994 in reply toLittleone88

Thank you. Yes I have had my biopsy and waiting for results of what stage CIN the cells are at and they will remove the abnormal cells before it turns to anything nasty. Xx

Hi

I had a cervical erosion which bled on sexual contact. I also had the diagnosis of high grade changes which they said were carcinoma in situ.

This is not cancer, it is the stage before. I then had a colposcopy and had it treated by freezing the cells. I was 25 at the time. Like you I was very worried but it was treated easily. It did not go completely after the first treatment and was treated again and I have been fine ever since. I have worried after every smear but was reassured that as long as I kept up my smears I would never get cervical cancer.

You will be fine but do need to get it treated as I did. The treatment was not painful, just ached a bit. It was then like a period for a while afterwards.

My very best wishes.

Kim

Thank you ever so much. I am just worried that they are going to tell me the worst when I go to my colposcopy appointment. Did u also test positive for Hpv?

Kkimm profile image
Kkimm in reply toL1994

It was a long time ago before they used to test for HPV. I expect I am positive because I think they now know that you will be if you get abnormal cells.

Hi. I have had my colposcopy they have taken biopsy and have to wait for results. They are checking what CIN stage it is at. You are right it is precancerous stage before it turns to anything nasty and they want to give treatment to get rid of the cells.

Kkimm profile image
Kkimm

Hi

There is really nothing to worry about with the precancerous stage. They would have been able to see on the colposcopy if it was anything worse. I never heard anything about my biopsy. I remember they did take one and they were a bit worried because it bled such alot.

However when I went for the treatment they said it was fine. As I said I then had to go back a couple of months later and they said it had not fully gone so they treated it again.f After another follow up a couple of months later they said it had gone and there was no need for me to go back again.

I then have been fine for the next 35 years. I am now 64 and it never came back again. I now do not need to have any more smears because of my age.

I am sure you will be fine but feel free to message me anytime if you are worried.

Very best wishes.

Kim

Thank you so much yes i think that the colposcopist said that the worst at this stage would be CIN 3 but hopefully will be CIN 2. It is lucky that I didn't ignore any signs i had and how important smears are. I bled quite alot today from having my biopsy yesterday. It has calmed down now and been told to just keep an eye on things and if it happens again to go straight to A&E and call them up again. Fingers crossed this doesn't happen again. And I think your right they would have been able to see signs that would worry them and they don't seem worried they just told me the exact same as what u said about getting results and starting treatment that would be done exactly the same way they done the biopsy yesterday xx

Kkimm profile image
Kkimm in reply toL1994

Hi

Yes that's right. I believe I was CIN 3 so if you are that it is still nothing to worry about.

Yes having smears is really important as well as not ignoring any symptoms as you said.

I had a scare again later on in life when I was around 39 I think because my GP was worried because it bled when he took a smear. I went for another colposcopy but they said it was fine.

My thoughts and best wishes are with you.

Thankyou. Did u have bleeding after the biopsy. My anxiety is really bad as I am having some bleeding and dont know what is normal. I had phoned the hospital and explained to them and they told me that it can happen but to keep an eye on it and if it happens again to go straight to A&E and that has just scared me so bad.

Hi yes, quite a lot of bleeding like a normal period that went on for a few days I think.
