I got my blood test results and like everything involving white blood cells was elevated.. it's been elevated for a while. it's not super high but it's not within normal range.. been googling it (I know, bad idea) and everything is coming back serious like cancer or some sort of bad infection and now I'm super worried about it. I won't hear back from my GP until tomorrow so I'm left with my thoughts. anyone else have elevated levels? my mono was high as well as WBC and RBC

anxiety over blood test results
hi before I went for blood tests for something was told to ring back 4-5 days for results but the next morning I got a call to go to hospital the next day obviously I panicked went to the hospital and they said about the white cells.they never found anything and my doctor then said it can happen through a bump or bruise that type of thing.try not to worry yourself have you had any bumps or bruises recently that you can think of.
the only thing I can think of is I have a few cuts on my leg from my cat walking on me, but they're not inflamed or anything, they're just about healed. I got my blood tested a few months ago and everything was still elevated except it's higher this time
hopefully its nothing to worry about it was actually my hip I went for the health centre scanned me and that`s how they came across it bit shocked when I got to the hospital and asked to take off my trousers shorts so they could have a more detailed scan I said am I not here for my hip and she said no its about the white cell count I was miffed till the doctor said it could be due to bruising or bumps.
Have they tested for any type of infection that can cause high white blood cells. Let us know.
Hi
I've had this mine lasted 2 years 😔 exactly the same as you my dr said i could have a infection then didnt do nothing then a few months later came back the same i did the Dr Google thing and boom I was a nervous wreck it said blood cancer and all other cancers I was a right mess went drs they did another fbc and said they wondered if I was pre-diabetic so gotta go back in 6 months to see if it has changed
I wouldnt worry it could be the smallest reason why
