Three months ago I started a new job. Shortly after that I started dry heaving and vomiting in the mornings. I thought maybe I was having panic attacks due to the change, so I decided to quit my job. The vomiting and dry heaving didn't stop, but it actually got worse. I have had several tests done - gastric emptying study, ultrasound (which they found bile in my gallbladder - but determined that wasn't causing my sickness), hida scan and an upper and lower gi. After about two months, my symptoms subsided and I was finally starting to feel better. Now they are back. I'm on 50mg of Sertraline - but my therapist doesn't think it's panic or anxiety that's causing this. I'm at a loss. I can't function day to day if I'm vomiting. My husband isn't supportive at all. I just don't know what to do....

  • did they suggest why there was bile in your gall bladder\? Sorry no suggestion re the dry heaving except maybe going back to the docs.

  • It's actually sludge in my gallbladder. They originally thought that's what was making me sick, but then ruled it out. I'm going back to the dr today, so hopefully they'll be able to figure something out. Thanks for the response. :)
