Anyone with some advice on Pelvic Inflammatory Disease?

I have had a mirena coil fitted and since then I have been in agony! Have only had it in for 2 weeks but had antibiotics for Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. Anybody else suffered from this? Really, really painful! What symptoms did you suffer from? How long before it cleared?

HI Ker, Ive never had it myself but I had a friend who had it once due to cyst on ovary I don't think it was full on p.i.d but the treatments where the same x It cleared up for her within a few weeks Donver x

No Prob x I think any infection we get in a intermite area is something very painful x If its no better I would consider going to the gp its sometimes possible that the coil has been fitted incorrectly or has moved. Some people just dont seem suited to them either x

It has been horrific! I am going back to my GP tomorrow, I have an appointment in the morning so hopefully will get a resolution. x

To him about your worries as we are not medically qualified.

It's not a condition to be taken lightly so please talk to your GP.
