Feeling depressed!

Hi all I am fairly new to this, I have put a conversation on before but can't find it again! I have suffered with anxiety and small amounts of depression for 17 years now, but recently I have had a lot happen to me and I haven't coped very well with this, I have had my anxiety controlled with 40mg of citalopram but now I am having anxiety attacks again but my main problem is now because of my recent problems I am feeling more depressed then anxious, I'm not sure weather to stay on my tablets or to ask the gp for something else but worried this will bring back my panic attacks?? Has anyone had this problem?? I recently went to the doc and he gave me 2 weeks worth of lorazepam but they haven't done anything to help x thanks in advance x

I have a similar situation and on speaking to my doctor today we decided that it's not a good idea to. Change my meds whilst I am going through a difficulty time, I too am on 40 mg citalopram, she prescribed me with diazepam to help with the panic attacks to take as needed.

Hi thanks for responding! It is helpful knowing u am not alone thank u x I have had diazipam before and don't really understand why I was given lorazepam!! It didn't do much for me at all. I don't think it would be a good idea to change my tablets but if citalopram is for anxiety I can't be doing anything for the depression I am feeling at the min! I am just so confused and hurt at the min x
