Upbeat Cameron chasing top marks at Portimao

Anxiety UK ‘s Young Ambassador Cameron Twynham travels to Portimao in Portugal this weekend confident of continuing his winning start to the European F3 Open campaign.

The 17-year-old student from Market Harborough scored Copa Class victory in the first of two races held at Paul Ricard last time out behind the wheel of his Team West-Tec Dallara F308, helping him lie second in the standings after the opening weekend.

It’s a result that has provided Twynham with much confidence ahead of his trip to Portugal.

“The opening race at Paul Ricard was one of my best performances in any category and showed exactly what we’re capable of doing this season,” he said.

“I’d tested and scored a podium in the Winter Series race there during pre-season so had an idea of what to expect. Portimao is a trip into the complete unknown in terms of experience but I’m not at all fazed by the prospect. I’m feeling really confident and can’t wait to get going.”

Twynham’s Dallara single-seater will feature a more prominent livery in Portugal where luminous green highlights will be added to help set him apart from the other Team West-Tec entries. “I was known for having bright green flashes in InterSteps last season so we thought we’d go down that route again,” confirms Cameron. “Against the blue background there’s no chance anyone can miss me!”
