I take L-Theanine capsules sometimes. L-Theanine can be found in tea, but I'm not much of a tea drinker.
I do my evening Qigong. It promotes relaxation and anxiety relief.
I sometimes listen to asmr artists on YT. My fav person does a lot of positive affirmations/comforting words.
Lavender is great, isn't it? I've used a body wash and a "bed" spray. Not convinced that they helped a lot, but the scent is still lovely.
I was taking Olly "Sleep" gummies, but most supplements aren't cheap to take every day, and while they did help, I didn't want to keep relying on them.
I need to get back to my journaling. It's good to get thoughts out of your head & on paper.
Yes, lavender is great! I have my nephew using a lavender spray because he used mine and loved it.
I've tried taking Melatonin, but it always gave me bad dreams. I don't think I've tried L-Theanine. My psychiatrist did prescribe a med today to help me sleep. I hope it helps.
I skipped my Qigong routine last night & I definitely feel I don't sleep as good without it, so tonight I will do it for sure.
I'll be up late again, as I don't work tomorrow... that's one of my biggest hurdles... my erratic sleeping patterns. I'm not a fan of the whole regular wake/sleep routine.π«€
Also I had an energy drink later than necessary.π
There isnβt just one solution. I have struggled for 25 years, since menopause. When I am upset I will be up all night. It is so lonely at night with nothingness and no sleep. It ruins the whole next day. Prescription drugs have side effects and doctors are reluctant to prescribe them. Melatonin is the drug I take nightly and it also has side effects. I would text you at 3 am to have someone to talk to.
