Insomnia from anxiety, sucks any tips . Driveing me crazy can't fall asleep. Don't want to take meds. 2 or 3 nights aweek

Hi its awful when you cant sleep isn't it? Why don't you want to take meds? I have to take something to help me sleep and I wouldn't be without it. Much better that than insomnia!

Have you seen the doctor? Are you getting any counselling? Whats your current situation?

5 years of anxiety due to stress over load. At first it was more acid in stomach that would not stop. Anxious feeling an tension. Then the insomnia kicked in. Some nights 2 hrs or less. I wake up early at 5 am for work. An just drag the whole day. It feels like I am tired but just can't sleep. Thanks for your help, just getting anxiety about taking meds. I should really think about something for sleep. When I do sleep I feel so good the next day.

I'm opposed to meds for sleep as well because I can't stand morning drowsiness, so I take a lot of supplements. The ones that seem to help me the most are melatonin and magnesium. I also do a guided sleep meditation (there are tons on YouTube and there is also a free meditation library app called Insight Timer out there) if I get that brain-racy feeling and it usually puts me out. Lastly, if I do intense cardio during the day it helps to knock out some of my day time anxiety and makes me sleepy at night. I hope this helps.

Thank you! So much!! Exercise does help. When them bad nights pop up, it's back to square one. 😠 thanks again!

Do you exercise? If not, you should start. I work out every day and it helps.

Yes I work out, wrestling training. Boxing. It just pops up then it makes my anxiety bad. I'll train harder. Need better sleep
