I am having anxiety and insomnia from last 3 months. I am under medication and taking medicines daily. I became normal but suddenly two days back I skipped my lunch as I was sleeping due to tablet and next day I got gas with chest pain and again anxiety triggered. I went to the doctor and they did all the tests ecg, blood tests and told that everything is normal. But from yesterday my hands are sweating and feeling anxiety. If I am eating it is becoming normal and after sometime again I am getting anxiety. So I am eating something again. But my blood sugar is normal. Why I am having this anxiety and what is triggering my anxiety I don't understand. I am doing winhoff breathing exercise daily in the night. Doctors are saying it is normal but I cannot control my anxiety and I don't know what I was doing at that time. Can anyone suggest any remedy or alternative solution. Thanks

Anxiety when not eating at regular intervals
prabhu22ap, you did the right thing by seeing your doctors. Since everything seems to
be okay, I can tell you that not eating or skipping a meal can cause gas bubbles (without
low blood sugar). Those gas bubbles can push against our heart causing some chest pain/
discomfort that are not related to the heart itself. Usually coming from the air in the
chest cavity. From there, our fear builds and we
can go into anxiety.
If you are sleeping through your meals because of the effects of your medication, ask
your doctor if it might help in having a nutritional supplement drink before or after
you medicate. This may pull you through the uncomfortable ill effects of not eating.
Never change anything w/o checking with your doctor who knows your health history
and is addressing your issue safely. xx
