Hello everyone,
I recently noticed that I have not been eating well. I know that it is said to be a common affect for anxiety. For some reason, I think it might be caused by something else. Should I get that checked or am I overthinking it.
Hello everyone,

MelodyAlice1, whenever we notice something different that hangs around for several days, it's always wise to have it checked out. Anxiety can make some lose their appetite and others eat like there's no tomorrow. Making sure it's not a physical issue causing your loss of appetite is the healthiest thing to do. xx
Id get it checked, especially if you losing weight. I have the same problem..anxiety and depression..i dont eat well and have lost 17kg in a short period. Well i had a physical check this week and i feel more at ease knowing everything seems clear. The doctor started me on a antidepressant and referred me to a psychiatrist. It really releases some of the tension knowing its not physical...plz see your gp..Hugz
Take advantage of this big opportunity. Look into intermittent fasting and all the benefits it offers for mood and mind health. It is also a great way to look at your health in a new way. 🙏🏼
It's always good to get looked at by a physician to rule out anything medical. If you're still concerned about losing weight, you can focus on eating nutrient dense food so at least you're getting good nutrition.
I'd get it checked but if all ok I'd start taking a multivitamin a day just to supplement your diet incase you are not getting enough nurtients from your diet alone. Gemma
it was the heat, even i am forced to eat less, perhaps cold food lol, awful as i feel, i always say, well i'm sleeping, sort of, walking and eating, if you are not about , doing these activities you are prob in hospital, its cooler now?
I am so glad that you reached out for help and that you recognize some of the signs of slipping back into your former pattern. I am so sorry that you are not finding your therapist or your support group helpful. I am pray that you will find a therapist that specializes in eating disorders. I am wondering if anything has triggered this, as typically there is an underlying issue. Did something happen? Sometimes, there is a feeling of being out of control and then one uses control over food to feel in control. Are there any areas in your life where you are feeling out of control?
