It's Thanksgiving Day for most of the U.S. I'm alone at home. Wife passed 4 years ago and I've been tumbling down this rabbit hole since. Many relatives, a few aunts and uncles, plenty of cousins. No one has contacted me in years, I reach out to no one. It is my life. This is how I live. Everyday. It is 10:30 a.m. Time to start drinking. Probably shouldn't due to my conditions but really, who cares?
Forgotten and alone.: It's Thanksgiving... - Anxiety and Depre...
Forgotten and alone.
I care. Someone else in this world cares too. I work overseas and my wife and children are currently at home not celebrating Thanksgiving because I’m not there. It can be rough, but there’s a reason you’re still here. I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your wife. Don’t give up, man.
Hi there, sorry to hear that, we care about you, it so sad that your relatives haven’t kept in touch with you after your wife died , maybe you’d be surprised if you did reach out to them.
Your not alone paul,me too holidays are a drag,I don't have any family left and caring for a declining mother,my brother took his own life and it haunts us both still..stay in touch and much hope for better days...
I Care Paul_Nelson. My deepest sympathy on the passing of your wife.
It's sad how at a funeral people extend their sympathy and may say if there
is anything we can do, call us. But then we are forgotten in the months and
years ahead. I'm sorry this has happened to you. You should be a part of your
family's life. Know that we are here to support all those alone and sad during
the holidays. xx
