Since I've come to understand I suffer from depression and anxiety I look at my friends differently. I try to explain my mental well-being to them-but they don't get it. Maybe I'm bad at explaining. Anyway, over the last several months I don't like talking to them. I want new friends to engage with They seem content in their world. Happy not to rock the boat or evolve. That's why I joined this group I want to be a better, happier person. Has anybody else felt this way?

Friends...
being a better happier person is like a dream.
yes definitely support group so important for mental health wellbeing and having friends that understand and help you big bonus
Hi, I came here for similar reasons. I also tend to hold back in the "real" world, but it feels safer here. But, don't give up on your friends. They may not understand, but that doesn't mean they don't care. Your revelation may have also triggered something in them that's too hard. You don't have to share everything with them, but you do need human touch and inclusion. I think of it as the best of both worlds. I enjoy my friends more knowing that I'm not all on my own and there is someone to turn to when I need a different kind of understanding. Enjoy both sides of your world if you can. Happiness comes in all forms.
Good Luck and we are always here.
If you feel like your relationships have not been beneficial to you feeling better, definitely looking at your social circle is a good thing.
Normal reaction when you come out of your box. People don't know how to react to the New you. It doesn't even have to be mental illness but anything significant that you change the scares your friends. If you want to chat more let me know . Rick
