hello,

i live in a new area. My friends seem to have moved on from when I was near them, and no longer want to talk.

struggling a lot, don’t have many people to talk too in my life.

I live alone, and I have just been signed off from work for a few weeks as I was taken to hospital because my MH got really bad.

i know there’s Samaritans, and lots of call services.

I would generally like to have the ability/ opportunity to make friends though ?

Any advice?

try some short adult courses - you will meet plenty of people and you will have shared interest.

Where do I find them ? I have a website called “meet up” . Problem is I’m not allowed to drive at the moment and live quite remote. Medications prohibit driving

Samaritans and those lines are obviously a precious resource and I have used them in the past . Never got any real benefit though. It is super hard to make friends I've got good friends now but took a long time and still I worry I'll loose them like past friends. Until the friends you seek come around which they will it's great you joined the forum x say whatever you like to us

I made good friends at Univeristy and college, but once the studies were I’ve none of them wanted to remain in contact with me.

They still talk to each other but not me ? Makes it feel worse

Here good place to start

Hi. Depending how old you are, there are senior centers for over 55. I'm 64 and have the same problem as you, friends just disappear or no longer want to talk anymore. I have made many friends at my senior center. The friend situation just crept up on me and I found I needed all new friends.
