why is this happening??

so I understand that we have ups and downs, good days and bad days but I’ve been “ok” for awhile and recently I feel like I’m declining bad like I haven’t felt this bad since it all started and idk why. I have really bad physical symptoms and some derealization and it just seems to be getting worse. I just upped my lexapro to 15mg as of today so I’m hoping that helps but who knows. Any advice or reassurance would be greatly appreciated! I hope you’re all doing well and finding peace through this nightmare we call anxiety and depression.

Hi CoolWhip,

Maybe you're experiencing a small but completely normal setback in your journey?

From my understanding, healing from anxiety/depression is not a linear graph. There will 100% be bad days & sometimes they'll pop up out of the blue.

Maybe write a list of calming/uplifting activities to do (that personally work for you) to weather the storm a bit until it passes.

Keep the list handy & use it to keep your ship a bit more steady each time you have a setback.

I will try that. Thank you for your response. I’m used to bad days but this just seems different. I’m sure I’m overreacting but idk I’m just puzzled.

You're welcome. It's good that you are self aware & monitoring your situation. Hopefully, this shall soon pass & you'll have some brighter days ahead.

It took some practice but I eventually adapted. I guess that’s why this time has me spooked cause it just came out of nowhere and I’ve been pretty good at regulating myself up until now.

Thank you 🙏 I’ll give those a try.

Was listenting to a radio show last night, and here is another thing to maybe ease anxiety. It's an ancient chant still used today. Easy to remember as our "Call Letters" of this site: HU --Try chanting HU for just three minutes. The next day, five min., and the next ten min. Chanting HU changes our frequency & brings down anxiety. Many of you probably already know this, but a reminder! You can do the HU chant everyday for twenty min. so the guest on this show said. But, one can start with even one minute!

That’s a really nice list catloverforlife
