Anyone else have this issue?

I used to be able to drink coffee every morning, 2 cups. But now since I'm on my celexa its like rest of day I'm stuck battling bad anxiety. I love coffee too so this is saddening 😞. I only drink one small cup but it still sets it off. Days I don't drink it, I don't barely have any anxiety if any at all. Did anyone else who took or is on celexa have this problem too? Should i bring it up to my Dr maybe?

maybe it’s the caffeine causing your anxiety or atleast exasperating it. I cut caffeine out when I was 16 worst headaches but they went away and helped the anxiety then. Even decaf stuff would worsen my anxiety

I'm really starting to think maybe caffeine is making the anxiety happen now. Its not much so pop, its only caffeine and like certain pop. Pepsi and coke im ok. Mtn dew or any citrus pop nope anxiety all day

Coffee not caffeine

Just cut coffee out of your diet and try. If you really love it bring it back gradually. There are lower caffeine craft versions too.

Ill cut out coffee for a bit. Then slowly reintroduce it by first a few sips and so on.

I love coffee too. I am really into craft coffee which is smoother and less acidic. That is an option too. But yea... slow.

I am not taking celexa but I’ve been told to stay away from coffee. I still drink a large ice coffee every morning…… I don’t know what it would be like to not have it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I find sipping a nice coffee in the morning is soothing. Maybe in this case the good outweighs the bad😊

we are depressed and anxious let us have our coffee!!!

Researching Celexa seems to state that coffee (caffeine) exacerbates the stimulant in

coffee causing anxiety to heighten. But please talk it over with your doctor. :) xx

We all react differently to stimulates ashley. I cannot drink real coffee w/o getting

tightness in my chest which then can produce anxiety. However......I can eat Chocolate

like there's no tomorrow and am as happy as a clown lol :) xx Go Figure

Try decaf. After a week or so you will not miss the caffeine and it tastes the same.

I definitely found caffeine affected my anxiety and sleep when my anxiety was at it's worst. I switched to decaf and it really helped. There are a lot of decafs available, I found a stronger tasting one (decaf espresso) and it's hard to tell the difference.

Definetly gonna look into decaf
