Celexa?

Hi, I have been taking 10mg of Lexapro. My psychiatrist is changing my prescription to Celexa because of my anxiety, and because I tend to ruminate on the past. Anyone taking Celexa? What do you think of it?

Hi User1964. I actually responded better to the Celexa lasting 6 months before my doctor changed me to the Lexapro. They have similar qualities so you probably won't experience severe side effects. The Lexapro made me kind of jittery but the Celexa never really did. It just stopped working for me over time. Everyone responds differently so if your using medication to treat symptoms its worth a try. Just will need it to get into your system for a few weeks before you'll know for sure.

Thank you, sad_dragon. Yes the Lexapro made me feel more anxious and jittery, for whatever reason. I'll give the Celexa a try. Thank you for your response.

I really liked Celexa but it did stop working over time I experienced

I am on Lexapro now and I found it helps me - I haven’t noticed any side affects from it

Hi,

I was on celexa for 6+ years. I was on a low 10mg dosage and it did wonders to take the edge off.

I stopped recently and the withdrawal is brutal. But it was the best for me of all medicines that ive tried.

There is a lab that will test your gene type to determine will medication will metabolize better. I dont recall the name but you alcan Google it. They take most insurance including medicaid.

Best of luck to you! 😊😊
