yoga ... but really it is the breathing that is the most important. there are lot of methods. Probably the easiest way to get started is to breath in slowly and then hold it for 7 seconds or something similar. It is really hard to think and breathe at the same time. Exercise does help by releasing endorphins which is why yoga also helps but it doesn't matter what kind of exercise you do as long as you do it.

Also google fear melters. They are a series of movement you do depending on the kind of stress you are feeling. If you feel tight and frozen you shake your body for example.

You can probably sense a theme which is movement. I can't sit still to relieve stress. I have to do some sort of movement.

Just doodle something or draw something you are thinking of and choose your colours according to what you feel like. This is art therapy and helps you with emotions. More ideas you can get from YouTube just google

listen to music U like - slower music U like lay back on couch or bed close your eyes and breathing. Positive visualization

Mindfulness Relaxation Technic and associated breathing Technique can help.A nice soaking warm bath can also relax the day. Hobbies and Diversions can take our minds of those problems as well

Sometimes going for a walk preferably on the beach, park, woodland can help relax as well

There are some great suggestions . Personally I like to journal . Write down my thoughts and feelings or what ever is on my mind . It really helps me sort though them and notice pattens . It's also nice to write about positive things and what I am proud of and what I am grateful for

It depends on the stress. What type of stress do you have?

I’m not certain the type just feel very tense, on edge, hard to relax. Trying to find ways to relax and release my bottled up stressors. I react terribly to stress. Everything is stressful for me. I find stress in all things! It’s terrible

I usually play my favorite songs by artists who have a soothing voice. I play calm and relaxing music that'll help my mind wander while looking out my window at the sky, trees, grass, and just nature as a whole. Take in nature and my surroundings. By practicing this, I've been less stressed. I've been taking trips and taking walks while embracing life.

Reducing stress can help by preventing it in the first place.By this I mean giving yourself some "me time" each and every day.

For me, it's in the form of Meditation and Breathing. It takes but a few minutes

out of your day to retrain your mind to accept stress and deal with it properly.

First thing upon awakening, I meditate and breathe, making me ready to start

the day on a positive note. Midafternoon, find a quiet spot to call your own and

sit quietly for 10 min and just zone out and regenerate through Meditation and Breathing.

And last but not least, a calming Meditation and Breathing before bed can allow you to

sleep more peacefully and go into that REM restorative sleep we so need.

This is a preventative method that costs nothing and has no side effects. :) xx

Self hypnosis is a good starter, because everything starts in your mind, breathing methods are ok but you have to get your thinking right first ! go online potentials unlimited a get down load.

30-60 minutes of daily cardio exercise to produce endorphins and seratonin. Then the guided Wim Hof breathing exercises twice daily. It’s on you tube free . Then the game changer, a 5 minute pure cold shower!

Sometimes trying to relax and destress backfires and makes us more stressed. If you think that's the case let yourself get more stressed and do a progressive muscle relaxation mindfulness meditation that physically helps you relax.

Another thing I do is write out stream of conscious what I am feeling and thinking. Just let it flow and don't worry about spelling or editing, the idea is to use it as a purge and release. You can keep it or throw it away when you are done.
