Hi all. Long story short all of my.family and closest friends have cut me.beacuse I'm not vaccinated yet. My health anxiety is stopping me. I'm scared of my ectopics getting worse ( I read too much) or my vertigo returning. The symptoms worsening or coming back is what scares me. I'm isolated and alone. Here in Australia we can't do anything without a vx not even a wax or pedicure. I feel cornered. Scared. I do t know what to do.
I'm scared .: Hi all. Long story short... - Anxiety and Depre...
I'm scared .
Have you talked to your doctor/cardiologist about your concerns? I’ve had ectopic heartbeats all my life. I didn’t experience a change with any of my vaccinations. But, of course, that’s just me. A professional opinion is so much more reassuring. 🍀
Which one did you have? I'm seeing my electrop in nov
Oh, good. You’ve made the move in the right direction. Tell your friends and family you’ll be consulting with your doctors. You are struggling and doing the best that you can. These are crazy times and some (not all) people aren’t acting how they normally would. With kindness and understanding.
I’m not sure what you meant by which did I have. My diagnosis was PVC’s. Pre Ventricular Heartbeats. Which is the same as ectopic heartbeat. Anxiety and stress makes them worse. Sometimes, I’m not even aware they’re happening.
Me too. What v did you get?
Pfizer. I’ll be getting a booster as soon as I qualify. Probably November.
I am so scared I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Booster is that necessary?
Who wouldn’t be scared with all the contradictory information around? Atleast here in the US. There’s nothing wrong with you. I haven’t experienced that fear. Maybe because I get my information from professionals in the fields of science and medicine. They say the booster is another tool to help myself and others stay safe. It helps “boost” the waning effectiveness of the vaccine that happens over time. When you see your doctor, you could discuss the booster shot as well. You don’t need to make a decision on that right away. One thing at a time.
Hi from me in Australia 👋 I am in SA so not as limited in what we can do. Some restrictions are about to be lifted any day now across most States so let's do our bit to stay safe 😷I have been encouraged by the number of people who are struggling with all things Covid-19 and putting it out here in the forum.
No-one should underestimate the levels of anxiety of another.
To reassure you about the vaccination process, I have had 2 doses of Astra Zeneca with minor side effect of headache and tiredness, gone in 24 hours. The needle is so fine that you don't know the procedure has happened. No affect either on my other health conditions including ectopic beats.
To keep anxiety down, can I suggest you book an appointment rather than go to a walk in site where you may have to wait around. If you make the time early in the day, this reduces thinking/worry time. Some places are even offering a sausage🍣sizzle this weekend. Bring on the 🍅sauce.
If you can shift your thinking to the positives of the vax, I am sure you will be okay. After all you are doing it for yourself, your family, friends and everyone else in Oz.🐨
My eldest sister refuses the jab. We have told her we cannot visit her indoors again as we don't want to give her the virus. She suffers from health anxiety too.....
