I'm Scared

I think I'm gonna have a panic attack or something I feel like tingly and like I can't breathe and my heart is thumping in my chest. My brain is tingly. I'm scared what if I die.. my chest feels weird in the middle like somebody punched me

Just take some deep calming breaths and try to think of something that comforts you. If you can, listen to some soothing music, preferably music with no words...

Maybe spa music...it’s just relaxing....

You are safe and you have nothing to fear. Everything will be okay. Breath deep ❤️

Breathe Anon Self soothe by sitting and rocking back and forth

or pacing.. Moving will use up the extra adrenaline in you.

You can breathe, You are not going to die. You are okay.

You cannot die from a panic attack. Tell yourself you’re gonna be okay and get through this!

This is very normal not even shitting you. What happens to me is I'll start to feel dizzy, then I'll feel like my chest is getting crushed, disoriented, mind going blank, and impeding doom, dry mouth, tingling sensation, and the fear of fear makes it worst. If it's so bad check in ER ok. One thing that help me is to tell yourself to maintain composure and get it check if it's something more serious can't do anything about it, but like I said I'm pretty positive it's anxiety. I'm 30 btw. Crippling anxiety, ocd, clinical depression, cptsd, be bullied, loste bro to suicide. No pity, but letting you know that you are stronger then you think this isn't something I say to try to make you feel better. You are also not alone you have us . Take care friend.

Yea it's what anxiety does to you. Especially a panic attack. I hope you're able to manage it. I'd anything let us know.

True you cant die as someone said it. You're going to have to ride the wave until it passes. Make sure you are not alone and isolated ok. Meaning all alone at home. Just feel the sensations and let it pass. Get back at us ok.

Hi LeoAnon, I was having those feelings multiple times a day a year ago for months. It came out of nowhere. I did have a few actual panic attacks as well. I would lay on the couch and watch Stress free tv and movies. Hallmark channel helped me.That is how I kept my mind occupied.

Are you having those feels often or is this the first and only time?

In that case I would call your primary doctor and a psychiatrist. I went to the primary to make sure nothing was wrong physically. The psychiatrist prescribed Lexapro and after about 4 weeks I was feeling almost back to my old self. I still have issues every now and then but I’m strong enough now to not go full on panic and realize it’s just anxiety and calm back down.

Reading 'Dare' book by Barry Mcdonagh helped me a lot. It explains panic attack and anxiety really well and how to get rid of it. It teaches you how to not be scared but dare it. It will go away. Sending you best wishes and positive vibes.
