Hello. I am new to the community. I wanted to share and ask for any additional thoughts on my problem. I have major anxiety and OCD. I have been suffering for years. I have a family and I’m in a relationship but I am still alone. They don’t want to hear and try to understand what I go through every single day. Honestly, I feel terrified. It seems like it’s getting worse and I can’t afford therapy. I guess I just need someone to say that they understand what I am going through. I am just unsure what to do because it is now affecting my physical, as well as mental health. Seeking any answers. Thank you.

Hello, Lady! Welcome. I've been here a short time but I've seen a lot of positive people and good advice. While no one can ever understand the exact way you may feel in life, I'm sure there are plenty of people who can relate to similar generalizations.

You mentioned that the problems you face are affecting your physical health, may I ask how?
Its a shame you haven't been able to find a helpful therapist; if money is an issue you might be able to find some resources through your local jobs and family services, at least that's a great place to start.

I know it can be expensive, mine is but can manage to budget it in. Could you use some of the skills you’ve already learned and put them into practice yourself? You could leave life affirming notes around for yourself, somthat helps 💕

Oh, I know how you feel. Therapy is expensive and it’s hard to even make an appointment depending on what kind of anxiety you have. Here’s what changed my life: YouTube therapy channels. Oh my goodness, so many therapists have hopped on YouTube to offer free educational and coping videos for anxiety, OCD, depression, personality disorders... you name it, there’s probably 10+ videos about it! I found that instantaneous validation to be very reassuring and it gave me strength. 😀🤗. Best wishes to you.
