I have a cat who can’t handle it when I’m upset. I can’t cry or be emotional near her or she lashes out at me. She just scratched me again. It’s so frustrating! I’m beginning an outpatient treatment for anxiety and depression this morning and this is not helping. She can be sweet as pie one minute and a psycho kitty the next. I love her but I’m at a loss as to what to do for her. I’m near tears again and just need to let it out.

Lock her away while you work through your emotions. 15-20 wont hurt it.

I’m ignoring her right now. She’s refusing to eat again but she probably will after I leave. She’s a tiny cat 6 lbs but she packs a punch! I’ll be glad to be away for a while. It will give her time to simmer down and give me a break from it for a while

Watch some youtube videos on cat re-training. We had a recent visitor cat who stayed with us for a few weeks, and the owner, the middle child, always got attacked and scratched, it was an ownership and alpha thing as well as being frustrated with his environment. We have an inside cat as well, and anytime she tried to be that way early on as she was growing up, we were animate about telling her no, you should never hit an animal or they become fearful of you, and as a kitten a spray bottle or squirt gun for very bad behavior helps. They don't know where the water is coming from and don't associate it with you. Sometimes an animal is just psycho, I have only known of two cats in my life like that, and I did have to eventually get them into a different living situation that suited their needs.

I think she’s just the psycho type I wish I could get Jackson galaxy to work with her! We’re both basket cases right now. My emotional reserves are just not there. I’ve tried to get vets to understand what she’s like but I don’t think they believe me. She can go weeks normally then suddenly flash.

I had a cat that was brought into my home a long time ago, and it attacked my other two constantly, pulled out big patches of fir, sunk her claws into you every time you walked by her, and then proceeded to skid across the top of my 6000. antique dining room table, which left it permanently damaged....so....I called a place that helps you find new homes for your pets instead of having them destroyed....and found out she just needed to be the alpha, and a lap cat....this older gal adopted her and she was fine. And the my two were a bit PTSD after the experience of being constantly tormented, so find your psycho a new home....some cats just are ill, just like some are sicker than others.

Yes my kitten was pretty wild and psycho when I got him but the firm no works well.

A few tips. Make sure your cats food and water is in a low traffic area and not too close to the litter tray. Play with your cat, talk to and stroke her a lot. x

They do pick up on your emotions. I had a little cat that when I was in bed sick, she curled up behind my back to keep me warm, I never taught her that and she never did it any other time. Cats train you as much as we would like to think we do them. They need affection and attention....and they do love their persons.

Cats do that. They hate when someone shows weakness.

Let her knows you are the boss!

Eat raw onions and watch her straight in the eye and don't cry.

She'll get it.

I bet if you gave your cat one xanax she would be chillin like a villain...shel be trynna scratch you then probrally be like nah nevermind I'll just go turn on the tv and see what's on
