I haven’t been on here in a while I met a friend on this app that person claimed to have been going through a hard time and so was I so that person offered to help me out I put my trust into that person and sent my account information I have no idea what happened but my account was closed and now I’m out of money u til the bank mail me out a check I don’t get government assistance how do I suppose to feed me and my baby u til the check come this has put me In a messed up situation but I know I will over come this just like I over come everything else but this is the reason I don’t trust and I have to stop being nice and believing what people have to say because I’m always screwed over in the end just venting because I thought this person was a friend I was willing to help this person with her/his child spending time and bonding I’m not a bad person so why does bad things keeps happening to me

What’s the member username, I’m sorry this happened to you but if you’re posting about it why not include the member name so the rest of us can know and forgive my bluntness your profile said you have only been here for 2 weeks how can you give someone an information so important without knowing them personally and in such short period of time
You gave your bank account information to a stranger?
Money gone and account closed? Am I reading that right? There are just some people that will take advantage of you. There are people that take advantage of weaker people. There are people that are just mean spirited and it’s possible this person was sizing you up just to take advantage of you. It doesn’t mean you are wrong, you may be type that gives too much and people will take advantage of good natured people. You learn over time after you’ve been burned a few times to be choosy who your let in you life.
Do you have a food bank/food pantry in your area? Do you have relatives or close friends that can help out? Do you have any free social services that you can contact, there are services help displaced, homeless etc. in my area, they offer free services for food, aid to help pay rent, etc. How about a local church? Just have to start searching your area, best of luck.
I’m learning not to be a push over I try to be nice and try to trust but I always end up trusting the wrong people I’m seeking out for help and looking for work I was laid off so I thought this person was a angel that came along to help me out but just to take advantage of me was wrong and yes I gave my info to the person because I wanted to believe that he would help me out I offered to pay him back as soon as I was back on my feet I’m so stupid for this but I’m still learning his name is David Hughes I showed the bank all the messages that was sent between us and they let me know it was a scam the lady in the bank told me to keep in touch with her and she will help me I’m thankful for the real angels that are here to help

Just make some golden rules -
1) Never give anyone your bank details. 2) Don't give anyone your card. 3) Be very careful who you give personal information to such as - your email address, phone numbers, date of birth , home address . . . .
Forgive yourself and move forward from this.
You are ok, didn't loose any money and the bank is on your side. All good.
Just remember that you are Precious, and be kind to yourself.
We all make mistakes and learn from them. Sadly we sometimes make the same mistakes over again (I do !!) .
I don't think you will be giving anyone your account info again though. So just put it all behind you now.

I love it thanks I’ve learned a big lesson from this
there is never ever a reason to give your bank account information or other personal information for that matter to another person.
Your desperation for help, needing a friend, or whatever it was at the time caused you to make some bad judgment calls and this is what happens in situations like yours. Lesson be learned but the upside, the bank should (rather they do it or not) work to restore your account and even locate and prosecute this person.

Yes I’m getting help with this situation I was laid off but I’ll be back on my feet the lady from the bank is helping me out with all of this
Im glad you have help. Don’t feel bad about it , you only showed kindness. But some advice.. with strangers on the internet stick to only kind words.. photos, numbers, banks, emails- I wouldn’t share, no matter how close you get. There’s been many fake fraudsters on here . Stay safe and good luck 💕
