Depression and anxiety vs. ADD

I have treatment resistant depression flaring up right now, with a history of anxiety and ADD, and I am now on Trintellix, Topomax and Wellbutrin XL, and we are hoping the Wellbutrin kicks in and starts helping soon. Oh, and I am also on Ambien for sleep. In the past I was on Prozac, Concerta, and Xanax which I seemed to do very well on until I was in a work situation which increased my anxiety and my new doctor took me off everything and started me on this new combination. There's a lot more to the story, but my question is, has anyone ever been diagnosed with and treated for ADD but had their treatment stopped because "it was causing anxiety"? I am in a totally new job that is perfect for me so I am no longer worried about situational anxiety. However, I have not been able to focus, and have not been interested in anything I normally enjoy for weeks. I just want to lay in bed. I do not want to be at the new job I love.

Hi. Going off 3 drugs and starting 3 new ones sounds odd. Usually you would do one at a time in order to let your brain adjust, or at least switch them out for similar drugs. I looked up Topomax and it's for headaches and seizures. Are you having those? Xanax is a anti anxiety drug which works very well but can be addictive. Wellbutrin can be used for ADD but it's not the same type drug as Concerta. I'm no doctor so I obviously can't advise you but perhaps you need to see someone else and get this straightened out. It sounds like you are either in withdrawal and or relapse.
