Is the generic Concerta is as effective as the brand name one? 2. Do you see any changes , good or bad in your child after taking it ?

Has anyone switched from Concerta/Xaggitin to Vyvance? And what was your experience like? TIA

We are trying the “liquid concerta” now at 10ml per day, but when that wears off around 3:00 he becomes enraged and defiant for the next few hours through bedtime.

they say “it doesn’t make any sense” and think the fact that i’m on medication is ridiculous because i have anxiety. so i guess the fact that my concerta is making me feel sad (sometimes even before the “crashes” kick in??)

I was hoping to have my Vyvanse increased to 50mg, but instead she switched me to Concerta 27mg. My instinct is telling me that Concerta is not the way to go. Something feels off with it.

I've already spoken to my titration team and they are supportive, but I'd like to know any personal experience with Concerta and its side effects. Thank you

He tried ritalin and concerta, but we didn't notice any improvement in any symptoms, and had a few undesirable side effects, so we went off. At the time, he really didn't want any medication, so we didn't continue the search. (We homeschool, so we're mostly able to work around the focus stuff.)

Should I ask the doctor to try a higher dose of Concerta since we had such good results before?

My 10 year old daughter was just diagnosed with ADHD, we have started her on Concerta. I’m not sure how much of a difference I see however she lashing out at me in the mornings before school. Is anyone else dealing with outbursts of moods??

We've tried Methylphenidate, Metadate, Adderrall, Vyvanse, Concerta and the old patch. These were tried at different ages but most caused more anger, not enough sleep, losing weight and loss of almost all short term working memory.

Hi All, my son has been on concerta ER 18 mg and guanfacine 1mg for a few months now and we’ve seen some improvement in symptoms but he still struggles with emotional regulation.

My 7yo son is about to start Concerta. He has only been on nonstimulants in the past, but that is not doing the trick any longer. Any experiences with this medication? TIA!

I take concerta and ritalin on the days I work for adhd. I am a RN at a hospital and I work 12 hour shifts. I work 3 days a week. On the days I work. I take a 36mg Concerta in the morning then 5mg of ritalin after lunch around 1pm and then another 5mg of ritalin around 4pm.

He prescribed 2 Concerta 54 mg in the morning / 20 mg Ritalin in the afternoon. I have taken this dosage for 30 years. It improved every aspect of my life. A year ago doctor Is... retired a year ago . I had to go to a new Doctor. Doctor Pe...

Although my mood wasn't great before I feel more down with Vyvanse, I tried Concerta before, 2 weeks but it was even worse than with Vyvanse. I feel Vyvanse help me focus and be more still but I'm not sure if these side effects will go away.

We just started her on concerta. Hoping that it helps not just with her trouble focusing in school but also socially.. Can anyone offer insight into this? Maybe some success stories? Others who have been there. Feeling like a heartbroken mama right now. Thanks ❤️

The medication isn't helping me focus, even after I switched from concerta to medikinet cr, I have a thesis to write and I feel like I'm going crazy wondering what is and isn't a result of ADHD in my life.

Her Psychiatrist wants to put her on Concerta which is fine except now you cant get it.

Our 11 year old son was diagnosed with ADHD almost two years ago and began taking daily concerta, which has helped significantly. However, he was already on the smaller end for his age prior to taking the medication but has found it very difficult to get the calories he needs.

My 14 year old has tried both Concerta and Adderall. Her teachers have noticed a remarkable difference in focus when she takes her meds. However she has refused to take them because she said she feels weird when she’s on them-that she’s not herself.
