I have had anxiety and panic disorder since I was 17 and after years of meds and therapy I finally got everything leveled out. Completely off meds... minus the occasional Xanax here and there. But all of the sudden I am getting extreme panic attacks that feel like I am going to pass out. My anxiety kicks in and makes it so much worse. When I was getting attacks in the past I never felt like I would literally pass out but that’s what’s happening now. How can I make this stop? I can’t keep going like this. Just started Effexor XR again but I’m still taking up to 3 Xanax a day to calm myself down and even had to lay down at work.
I use ever tool i can think of to push the panic attacks away when I’m not in a “safe” place to release it but it’s not stopping.

Man I was on Effexor for like 2 years. Felt good enough to taper off and within 2 months I was back down again. Waited about a year to go back on trying everything I was aware of. Now I am stabilized again but am going through a really tough time so the anxiety is up there even on the meds. Have you ever read the books by Dr Claire Weekes? They have helped me at times. I also just started tapping using YouTube videos. Those have helped too. I tend to have things work really well at the beginning and then taper off somewhat. They still help. But not like when I first try them. Don’t know what that is about.
