Try to relax. I know it sounds easy to say but take some deep breathes thru the nose and out the mouth. Tell me what you are thinking about your eyes. Many people including myself have one eye stronger or weaker than the other. It's a natural occurrence. I think if there was any thing to be concerned about the doctor would have told you. I'm here if you want to talk more. Please try to relax.

Eye floaters

I get them quite frequently. Usually if I am very tired or stressed. Sometimes it feels like an insect is darting across in front of me. Certainly annoying but I don't believe permanent. At least in my case they come and go and have for years.

Tamka38, I get the aura visual disturbance without the migraine, I have done for 40 years, called scintillating scotamata back then, it's nothing at all to do with your eyes, it's definitely related to stress and anxiety. They can't harm your vision or I would know by now so don't worry about them.

It's quite normal to have different degrees of refraction in each eye, nothing abnormal about that. So absolutely no need to worry yourself on that account.

As for the floaters, if you've just had your eyes examined then they are nothing to fear. Just bits of detrius floating around in what's called the vitreous humour. Particularly noticeable if you're near sighted.

I have to have my eyes thiroughly checked twice a year and they don't always put the dilating drops in, if it's dark in the examination room your pupils are probably dilated enough any way.

Tamka, I think this is just anxiety latching onto your eyes and magnifying the concern out of all proportion. If you really need reassurance then maybe talk to your eye doctor but from what you say your eyes are doing fine.

I have the same issue. My vision is not too bad but my eyes don’t work together so some days one eye sees better and other days it’s the other eye. They never used the eye drops on me before, I think those are just for when you have really bad vision.
