Hey everyone , for those who suffer from chronic anxiety, did anyone ever suffer from vision disturbances such as blurred vision, tunnel vision and blindspots, also seeing lines or colors, for me whenever i read long paragraphs the words in my peripheral vision (the onesim not focused at when i read) , i sort of see them form lines or dots and its disturbing, i recently started noticing this sometimes , and im more sensitive to lights and sounds , im not sure if this is from stress or i should back to my eye doctor, i had an appointment back in november and it all seemed well, he asked for a retinogrophy (imaging of the retina) but he said its because he suspected keracotonus, which is not so serious , and i think this causes me to suffer migraines especially migraines with aura where i get these attacks and i get severe tunnel vision and numbness and sometimes difficulty speaking for a few minutes up to an hour , according to my doctor he says these can be caused by stress and bright light so i should be careful , but i just want to see if anyone had similar experiences so i know if i need to book an appointment or just work on managing anxiety and stress first to see, because i hate when doctors just say its stress instead of giving an actual solution

Vision problems and migraines
What you are experiencing is an Ocular migraine. The first time this happened to me I was working at night. I started seeing colors in the corner of my eyes which progressed to covering my whole vision. It was midnight and I had to call my coworker to come in and relieve me. I got a taxi to take me to the ER. Once there they tested to rule out blood clots, Tia { this is a mini stroke}. They told me It was an ocular migraine, which was strange because I had no migraine pain, only my vision was affected. What i was seeing looked like looking thru squares of colored cellophane, each square was a different color. After I was given two shots of dilaudid, I enjoyed what I was seeing!! I still get migraines, and trying to find something that works, but so far nothing has worked.

I think you are too stressed out and lack proper sleep...this enhances your migraine.. ive had bouts of scintillating scotoma....thought it was eye prob..bt lots of check ups and research ..came down 2 migraine which atttacks in times of great stress and insomnia...relax...njoy life...stay hydrated and meditate..
Yes i actually came a very long way since then , knock on wood l i didnt get any aura migranes since january 9th which is great because i was worrying that they were becoming more frequent, i started closing my eyes for a few seconds every once in a while to make sure im not glaring too much into screens and stuff like that , i believe with stress management its working well
I still get some anxiety attacks but im working on my mentality , to not let my thoughts control me , and to practice calming techniques like PMR , and meditation , breathing exercises and positive imaging
