Update: So now that HR is involved with my works this situation, it has gotten worse. He somehow managed to turn everything around on me. HR was asking me if I lack confidence and how I feel about the rest of the team. Work was great before this guys started, everything I say he goes against me, no matter what. I am not being too sensitive, he literally just shoots down everything I say – he is a bully! I guess I have been bullied most of my life and never really put it into perspective. At this stage in my life, I am trying to do things the right way speak up when something is bothering me, and what happens nothing. My direct boss told me today that I need to speak to him directly after asking her a question "we need to learn to work together" Is that the way to solve this issue? It seems like I am being set up for failure! He reacts negatively to everything I say and I feel like he is retaliating because I called him out. He is a very good liar and is way more vocal than I am. It just really sucks, I feel like I have no one to turn to, and work is just not the same. I know I have just been rambling but it feels great to get this off my back. I don't know what to do leave, stay until they possibly fire me. I just can’t understand why this one person decided to pick on me.

Remember that we’re here if you need us.
I Have read a bunch of articles on how to deal with a bully in the workplace. This has really helped me put this situation into perspective, and realize that what this guy is doing is bullying me. I spent an hour today writing down everything that has happened and continues to happen. Now I just have to decide when and how to present this or do nothing and find a new job...
Seek legal advice if your boss doesn't sort this out. If you have any meetings in work about this problem, have someone you trust acompany you as a witness.
But as said before, document everything as it happens.
